So I’m currently reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and so far, I’m liking it. Don’t judge me. Anyway, this theme is based on the book’s cover. According to the Well of Sometimes Suspect Knowledge:

Stephenie Meyer has stated that the apple on the cover represents the forbidden fruit from the book of Genesis. It symbolizes Bella’s and Edward’s love, which is forbidden, similar to the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, as is made obvious by the quote from Genesis 2:17 that opens the book. It also represents choice.

So, yeah. Forbidden Fruit was built around the book’s cover that features a pair of hands holding out an apple. The theme uses black and red colors to match the image. I briefly considered using the movie’s poster, but the book’s cover presents more drama, methinks.
